Lahore High Court Issues Restraining Order Against Private Schools To Stop Collecting Fee During Summer Holidays

On 28th May 2015, the Lahore High Court heard a petition moved by Advocate Sheeba Qaiser who said that the a notification had already been issued by the government to stop private schools from collecting fee for summer holidays, yet the schools were still charging it.

Officials from the Education Department told the court that they had not received any complaints from parents or students in this regard. However the court still directed them to advertise the notification in the media and to take action against the schools charging the fee for summers.

The officials have also been asked to submit a report at the next hearing which has been adjourned until June 2, 2015.
