Billable Hours
“Billable hours” is a charging procedure for legal services where lawyers make money by billing their clients by the hour. Most law firms have annual targets for billable hours. For example, associates may be required to bill at least 1600 hours a year – that’s excluding the time spent on non-billable work such as research and marketing or administrative work such as time entries, invoicing, etc.
