Four Sentenced To Death In Bangladesh Over Murder Of A Teenage Boy

A Court in Bangladesh sentenced four men to death over brutal killing of a thirteen year old boy. The murder was filmed by one of the attackers which  went viral causing a massive public outrage.

They were found guilty  of beating Samiul Alam Rajon to death after they said he tried to steal a rickshaw. The verdict sparked a feeling of happiness among  hundreds of people gathered outside the courtroom.

“They shall be hanged by neck until they are dead,” Sessions Judge Akbar Hossain Mridha pronounced as the convicts stood on the dock while one of them was exposed to justice after extraditing him from Saudi Arabia.

The autopsy report of the teenage boy suggested that he had received 64 injury marks in his body. A 28-minute video of the lynching, which was widely circulated prompted street protests in order to bring the accused to justice. The video further showed that the boy was  screaming for help, crying for water and begging for his life while the killers laughed and jeered at him as he cried out “somebody please save me”.

According to his lawyers the verdict has send a positive message to all  child beaters and molesters.
