Mashal Khan’s Father Requests PHC To Transfer Murder Case From Mardan

The father of Mashal Khan (Iqbal Khan), referring to conceivable dangers from adversaries, has requested the Peshawar High Court to transfer the murder case from Mardan.

Abdul Lateef Afridi, the legal advisor for Iqbal Khan, has documented an application in the PHC. Iqbal Khan has asked for the transfer of the case to the Anti-Terrorism Court or any place where said adversaries would not be able to threaten him. Iqbal had made similar requests in a public interview earlier this week, where he additionally asked for the PHC to pay his lawful expenses and the Supreme Court to provide security to his daughters who hadn’t been to school since their brother’s heinous murder.

The application stated that a large number of protesters and some religiously inclined gatherers had taken to the streets requesting the release of those captured in the case. It additionally highlighted Iqbal’s feeble monetary condition and said he and his family could confront genuine dangers from those included in Mashal’s murder.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Inspector General of Police, Salahuddin Khan had officially stated that requests made by Mashal Khan’s father were capable of being accepted as per the law. The IGP, in a letter to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government, had suggested considering Iqbal’s interests in the arrangement of a private prosecution counsellor.

Iqbal Khan has as of now filed an application in the Supreme Court looking for the administration’s monetary assistance and protection. He has also requested for the relocation of his family to Islamabad in light of the imminent security dangers.
