“Standing Up To A Dictator – Judiciary’s Role In The Rule Of Law” At SZABIST

SZABIST Rule of Law Center invites you to “Standing Up To A Dictator” – Judiciary’s Role In The Rule Of Law, a continuation of seminars on the rule of law highlighting the judiciary’s part in maintaining it in Pakistan.

Justice (Retired) Wajihuddin Ahmed, a well-known human rights activist and former professor of law at Sindh Muslim Law College will speak about his own role during the time of Musharraf’s take over and how, adhering to the principles of the court, he took a stand against the arbitrary rule of the military. He is known for his honesty and integrity in this regard and will shed light on how judges can play a part in keeping a just system alive and functioning in an ordered society.
