Research Fellows Required – Shaikh Ahmad Hassan School of Law, Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS)

Shaikh Ahmad Hassan School of Law, Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) seeks to appoint two research fellows to undertake research projects relating to the LUMS Law Journal.

The duration of the fellowship will be eight weeks starting from 1 July 2018.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must have masters or undergraduate degree in Law or relevant social sciences with excellent research and writing skills.
  • Prior experience in research, writing and publications is preferred but not essential.
  • This is a full time position and candidates are required to conduct research based at LUMS.

LUMS Law Journal – Call for Papers

LUMS Law Journal (LLJ) is pleased to announce a call for papers for its fifth volume. LLJ is a peer-reviewed publication of the Shaikh Ahmad Hassan School of Law, Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS), (available at https://sahsol.lums.edu.pk/law-journal/volume-1-editors-note).

The primary objective of LLJ is to provide a forum for scholarly MS-500 dumps discourse amongst law students, faculty, lawyers, judges, practitioners and experts on important legal and social issues, which may lead to policy reforms. 

Nature of Submissions

The Journal comprises of various sections: (1) Articles, (2) Comments, (3) Case Notes, (4) Legislative Reviews, and (5) Book Reviews. Articles are substantive research pieces of about 6000-8000 words. Comments, Case Notes and Legislative Reviews are discursive pieces and can be on recent bills, statutes, reports, and judgments of superior courts. They should be between 2500-3000 words. All the given word limits are exclusive of footnotes.

Deadline for Submissions

LLJ accepts material for publication throughout the year. For their upcoming volume, please submit your work by 30 June 2018.

All submissions must be original and must not have been published elsewhere.
