LHC Dismisses Bail Plea In Couple’s Lynching Case

A Lahore Hugh Court Division bench has dismissed the bail application of four suspects accused for the lynching of a Christian couple in Kot Radha Krishan for allegedly committing blasphemy.

The counsel for the applicants submitted that they were not involved in the angry mob that had killed the couple and had been wrongfully implicated by the police thus should be granted bail for lack of evidence. However, the deputy prosecutor successfully opposed these arguments and said that the suspects had been identified through videos recorded by on-lookers.
