Lahore High Court Advertises 158 Posts of Additional District and Session Judges

Amendment dated 13.05.2015 in Rule 5(3) and 7(1)(b) and (c) of the Punjab Judicial Service Rules 1994, now bars Civil Judges-cum-Magistrates from the Competitive Examination for recruitment of Additional district and Session Judges against the 40% quota reserved for the Advocates. Therefore in partial modification of this Court’s Advertisement No.01/2014/RHC/C1, dated 25.09.2014, online applications are invited from the eligible Advocates domiciled in Punjab, possessing qualifications as prescribed in the Rules, for appointment against 158 posts of Additional District and Session Judges (likely to increase or decrease).

3% quota is reserved therein for disabled persons as envisaged in Section 2 of the Punjab Disabled Persons (Employment and Rehabilitation) (Amendment) Act 2015, while 5% quota is reserved for minorities in the light of Government of the Punjab Notification No.SOR-III(S&GAD)1-35/93, dated 27.03.2015.

The application forms are available on the official website of Lahore High Court, Lahore. Hard copy of the online application forms along with enclosures must reach the Registrar, Lahore High Court, Lahore on or before 08.06.2015 till 04:00 pm by hand or by mail.
