Man Convicted for 12 Years for Sexually Assaulting his Teenage Daughter
A district and sessions court in Karachi handed down the sentence to Saeed Ahmed Khan for raping his 17 year old daughter in their house in Gulistan-e-Jauhar three years ago.
The verdict was issued after assessing the evidence and testimonies of seven witnesses, including the girl’s mother. A medical report also confirmed the abuse. According to the victim her father had been sexually exploiting her for years. The first incident took place four years back when she was served tranquilized tea by her father.
According to the Judge the prosecution case had been proved beyond reasonable doubt. A fine of Rs50, 000 was also imposed with the observation that an additional six months will need to be served in case of default of payment.
The case was filed under Section 376, punishment for rape, of the Pakistan Penal Code.
