Croatia’s Parliament Ousts Government
ZAGREB: The Croatian government has been deposed by Parliament as a result of a vote of no-confidence against Prime Minister Tihomir Oreskovic.
125 of the 151 Members of the Parliament backed the vote. Croatian President Kolinda Grabar Kitarovic shall carry out consultations on the formation of the new cabinet. The deadline for this is 30 days and if exceeded will result in early elections. The majority party HDZ plans to install Finance Minister Zdravko Maric as the new Prime Minister.
