Corrs Chambers Westgarth and Norton Rose Fulbright are known to have been working on building teams for two years in order to take care of a series of disputes in the liquefied natural gas (LNG) industry that are said to last for years and include large sums of capital.
It has been predicted by experts that law and accountancy firms are going to be majorly involved in the apportioning of costs for over-runs once seven giant LNG projects, worth US $193b, reach their completion in the next two years. Subject of disputes are LNG plants for Chevron, Santos and Inpex Corporation. The numbers are said to be extremely outrageous.
Corrs has taken on two leading infrastructure litigation lawyers, Andrew Stephenson and Michael Earwaker, to handle this kind of dispute. Norton Rose has been embedded in the LNG project teams of its clients, helping them to control costs.
