Brus Chambers from Mumbai is operating a 32-lawyer team in New York along with three other US offices, following its launch in the country in May.
Brus Chambers was integrated as a Limited Liability Company in New Jersey in March and opened its New York head office in May. Branch offices in Washington DC, Missouri and New Jersey employ nine fee-earners each, which includes lawyers and paralegals, who are all US-qualified.
Shrikanth Hathi, managing partner, said that having set up in March, they have gotten good work from good law firms. He says that Brus is concentrating mostly on commercial litigation, international arbitration, documentation, shipping work and some criminal defence work, principally on the white-collar side.
