Chief Justice to address Senate
Chief Justice Anwer Zaheer Jamali will address Senate Committee constituted to give recommendations to the government on speedy justice in Pakistan. It is important to note at this point that such an address by the Chief Justice is the first time in the Parliamentary history of Pakistan.
It was announced earlier by the Senate Chairman Raza Rabbani during a Senate meeting. It is considered to be part of the initiative ‘intra-institutional dialogue’. It will likely to address provisions for fast paced and inexpensive dielevery of justice.
Senate, some months back amended its rules to hear voice from outside the house on matters of national interest.
