Mrs Justice Cheema-Grubb Sworn In As First Asian Female High Court Judge
Mrs Justice Bobbie Cheema-Grubb QC, aged 49, who was first called to the bar in 1989, has now been sworn in as the first Asian woman to be appointed as a High Court judge in Britain, bringing the number of female High Court judges to 23 out of 108. She had a practice at the bar specializing in homicide, terrorist offences and serious fraud.
