Attend A Breakfast Briefing on the Dubai International Finance Centre
The Law Society of England & Wales will be hosting a breakfast briefing on the Dubai International Finance Centre (DIFC) on Thursday 28 January.
A practitioner panel will lead the discussions, which will serve as both a legal update and to highlight potential opportunities and activities in the DIFC to our members.Topics to be discussed will include:
international Arbitration within the DIFC;
the scope of the jurisdiction of the DIFC Courts; and
particular areas of legal work undertaken.
The panel will also share their experiences in the jurisdiction and the rationale for a presence within the market.
Confirmed speakers on the panel include Ali Hassan from the Dubai International Financial Centre Authority, Andrew Carpenter, partner at Addleshaw Goddard and Charles Flint QC from Blackstone Chambers.
