Women In Law, Dialogue Series, Session 1: Overcoming Challenges & Exploring Opportunities
The Lahore Education and Research Network (LEARN) in association with Courting The Law will be conducting the “Women in Law Dialogue Series” on Monday 1st February 2016 between 6 to 8 pm at Books and Beans, Gurumangat Road Lahore.
The Women In Law Series is the first of its kind initiative to address the concerns of young female lawyers set to enter the profession. The series, not only aims to focus on understanding the challenges and opportunities for women in the legal profession but also hopes to initiate a dialogue on creating an enabling environment for greater integration of female law graduates in the profession and ultimately their role at the bench, the bar and the bar councils and associations. In this way, the Women In Law Dialogue Series is a solution-centric initiative that aims to address the concerns of the firm owners as regards women as well as that of women in relation to the profession in general.
The series will consist of three sessions (once in each month) which are envisaged as follows:
a) Women in law: overcoming challenges and exploring opportunities
b) Women in law: legal practice
c) Women in law: non-traditional career in law
