British Lawmaker Shot Dead
British lawmaker, Jo Cox aged 41 and mother of two, was shot in the in the town of Birstall and died after she was left bleeding on the pavement unattended. Chief Constable of West Yorkshire Police, Dee Collins, could not find any particular motive for the incident which took place, although a suspect had been arrested. According to an eye witness, Hithem Ben Abdallah, Cox had intervened into a scuffle between two men in the village of Birstall when suddenly a gun had gone off. Police labelled the incident as “serious,” but were not able to immediately identify the victim. Fifteen minutes after the attack, emergency services arrived at the scene and tried their best to assist.
