About the Speakers:
Dr Shahbaz Ahmad Cheema is Assistant Professor, University Law College, Punjab University. He got his PhD from Warwick University, UK, LL.M from University Law College, Punjab University and LL.B (Hons) from International Islamic University, Islamabad. He has been teaching at the University of the Punjab for the past fourteen years and has published widely on Islamic Law and Law of Evidence. He is the author of a forthcoming book on Islamic Inheritance Law.
Dr Zubair Abbasi is Assistant Professor, Shaikh Ahmad Hassan School of Law, LUMS. He did his doctorate at Oxford University, LL.M (Corporate Governance) at Manchester University and LL.B (Hons) at International Islamic University, Islamabad. He has been teaching and researching for the past ten years. He has published on Islamic legal history, Islamic law of waqf and corporate legal theory. He is the author of a forthcoming book on Islamic jurisprudence and co-author of a forthcoming book on Islamic Family Law in Pakistan.
