ATC Staffer And Policeman Among 5 Injured By Grenade Explosion
Karachi: During the trial of a man accused of being an extortionist and a terrorist, the judge Shakil Haider of the Anti Terrorism Court asked police as to how the grenade works. The investigator, upon the directives of the judge pulled its pin and triggered off the explosion which injured 5 men including a court staffer and a policeman.
“We will initiate an investigation as to why SOP (standard operation procedure) was not followed to neutralize the explosives before bringing them to the court,” said the Sindh Home Minister Anwer Sial.
He instructed Karachi Police’s Additional IG to conduct an inquiry and bring the negligent police officials to the book.
