Dentons, the world’s biggest law firm has confirmed that it is in non-disclosure agreements with 21 firms in Europe, Asia and Latin America.
The main aim is to make sure there is presence in areas where it is not represented, such as in countries like Latin America, Japan and Australia. The second aim is to strengthen presence in places where there is already representation, such as in countries like Germany, Spain and the Netherlands.
Even though, all talks will not end in a merger, spokesman Joe Andrew claims that the firm is planning expansion on practice lines and intends to fill gaps there by lateral hire as well as merger.
