Lawmakers in California cancelled their legislative efforts to allow terminally ill patients to legally end their lives in the state. The Right-to-Die bill has undergone several amendments over the past few months. The California legislation has previously allowed doctors to prescribe life-ending drugs to patients. However, the bill faced backlash, especially from religious groups.
As long as the constitution grants the right to live then by default the right to die should also be granted. One does not have full authority on his or her life if that person can not control when it should end.
