Civil Servant Not To Be Posted as OSD For More Than 30 Days – Supreme Court Azad J&K

The Supreme Court of Azad Jammu & Kashmir has held in Muhammad Ilyas Abbasi vs AJK Government and others that a civil servant may be posted as Officer on Special Duty for a period of not more than 30 days and may not be left without a post. Keeping a civil servant out of the post for such a long period would be an arbitrary exercise of powers by the authorities.

A copy of the judgment has been uploaded on the AJK Supreme Court Website at: http://ajksupremecourt.gok.pk/wp-content/uploads/2015/08/Muhammad-Ilyas-Abbasi-vs.-AJK-Governmtnet-and-others-2.pdf
