Majority of Callers To Lawyer Support Charity Are Women and Trainees
Two out of three callers in 2015 to a charity offering support and advice to lawyers were women, while nearly four out of ten were trainees or qualified for five years or less.
At 30 per cent, the most common issue callers cited was workplace stress. Stress was followed by depression at 20 per cent, disciplinary issues at 12 per cent, financial problems at five per cent and alcohol at four per cent. Other problems included ethical issues, bullying or harassment, gambling addiction, career development problems and relationship issues.
