Summary: The objective of this bill is to ensure that there is a formal and proper centralized system of database which keeps all records of births, deaths and marriages, so that it is easier to trace records of citizens in Pakistan.
The following section is to be inserted as an amendment into the Births, Deaths and Marriages Registration Act, 1886 (No. VI of 1886), after section 10: ”
“10-A. The Registrar General shall ensure complete information of the registration of Births, Deaths and Marriages to the National Database Registration, as prescribed under section 21 of the National Database Registration Authority Ordinance 2000 (VIII of 2000).”
