29th May 2015: Sharjeel Memon, Information Minister Sindh, has issued legal notice to a private channel for telecasting false news of raid on his house by law enforcement agencies and confoiscating an amount of Rs.2 billion from his house. His lawyer has advised the channel to give an unconditional apology within 14 days otherwise he will file Rs 2 billion legal suit against the channel.
Memon has also denied the authenticity of any such news in his twitter message: “The news of raid at my house is a total false news. And I totally deny such a thing. And I now plan on sending dawn news a legal notice”.
He tweeted that another newspaper named as “Jahan e Pakistan” also published the same news for which they have also apologized to him.
